NGOs denounce the fact that there are 52 torture and illegal detention centres in Pakistan
Last week, the Pakistani consul visited the CETI in Melilla. Indians, Pakistanis and Kashmiris were required to sign a document that included their photographs and fingerprints.
Nobody knows the contents of this document, nor what the implications that recording their fingerprints on this paper would be, because nobody explained any of this to the men. The Spanish government clearly has good relations with the Pakistani government, and in a few days they’ll deport everybody who put their fingerprint to paper, no matter where they’re from.
For concerns raised by NGOs about illegal detentions and torture in Pakistan, see the link above (in Spanish).
