Han habido tímidos contactos entre los inmigrantes y la empresa de trabajo social ACCEM Melilla, habitualmente utilizada por la Delegación del Gobierno para mediar en este tipo de conflictos.
La propuesta ha sido la misma que se hizo a los Bangladesihs poco antes de que comenzara la cruel persecución de los mismos que duró un mes y que acabó con la deportación de sesenta y una personas a Bangladesh tras casi cuarenta días de prisión en el CIE de Málaga: Que regresen al CETI y se estudiarán sus expedientes de forma individualizada.
Naturalmente los concentrados en la Plaza de España no han aceptado la propuesta y nos han pedido que hagamos público el siguiente mensaje:
Los inmigrantes de India que están en huelga de hambre en Melilla no cesarán en su acción y no volverán al CETI jamás.
Solicitan al Gobierno de España que les permita acceder a la Península, o bien ser deportados a la India, para acabar con la desesperada situación de ellos y sus familias.
Estando dispuestos a morir de hambre, si es necesario, para lograr tal fin.

NO AGREEMENT
There have been some lukewarm contacts between the migrants and the social work organization ACCEM Melilla, which is often used by the Delegation of the Government to mediate in these sorts of conflicts. The offer they received is the same one made to the Bangladeshis shortly before the start of their month-long persecution which culminated with the deportation of 71 people to Bangladesh after about forty days in prison in the Málaga CIE (Internment Centre for Foreigners). The offer was: return to the CETI and your files will be examined one by one on an individual basis.
Of course the hunger-strikers assembled in the Plaza de España have not accepted the offer, and have asked us to make the following message public:
The Indian migrants who are out on hunger strike in Melilla will not stop their action and will not ever return to the CETI. They ask that the Government of Spain permit them entry to the Peninsula, or else that they be deported to India, to draw an end to this situation of despair for them and their families. They are ready to die of hunger, should it be necessary, to achieve this aim.
