HAN SIDO 6 LOS DETENIDOS EN LA REDADA DE AYER - 6 PEOPLE DETAINED IN YESTERDAY’S RAIDS

Los detenidos ayer en las inmediaciones del CETI, han sido 6, entre ellos un joven que residía en la ciudad desde hace 32 meses y otro que residía en la ciudad 31 meses. A los 36 meses y con un contrato de trabajo podían haber obtenido la tarjeta de residencia en España.

Los resientes de Bangladesh en el CETI de la ciudad han desaparecido a la vista de todos permaneciendo escondidos dia y noche presa del pánico ante las redadas que se está llevando a cabo desde hace casi un mes.

Hoy se ha anunciado públicamente que el Delegado del Gobierno: José Fernández Chacón será cesado mañana en su cargo. Felicitamos a todos los ciudadanos de Melilla y especialmente a los inmigrantes por esta buena noticia.

Lamentamos profundamente que este lamentable personaje político vaya a ser nombrado Delegado del Gobierno en la ciudad hermana de CEUTA. Esta ciudad sufre una situación de apartheid similar a la de Melilla y la gestión de Chacón, con toda seguridad, no hará más que empeorar la situación durante los cuatro próximos años.

A nuestro entender este señor ha conseguido mantener el cargo y el sueldo pero a pocas horas de su residencia habitual (Cadiz)....¿premio por la labor realizada en Melilla?

6 PEOPLE DETAINED IN YESTERDAY’S RAIDS

Six people were detained yesterday in the immediate surroundings of the CETI. Among them were a young man who has lived in the city for 32 months, and another who has lived in the city for 31 months. If they had lived in the city for 36 months and had an employment contract, they would have been eligible to obtain a Spanish residence permit card.

The Bangladeshi residents of the city’s CETI have dropped out of sight of the public, and remain hidden day and night, gripped by panic at the thought of the raids that have been carried out for almost a month now.

Today it was announced publicly that José Fernández Chacón, the Delegate of the Government, will be relieved of his post tomorrow. We extend our congratulations to all the citizens of Melilla, especially to all migrants, upon hearing this good news.

We regret profoundly that this deplorable political personality is to be named Delegate of the Government to our sister city of CEUTA. That city is under a state of “apartheid” similar to the one in Melilla, and Chacón’s administration, we can say with certainty, will do nothing other than make the situation there worse over the next four years.

In our understanding this gentleman has managed to keep his post and his salary, except closer to his home in Cadiz: is this is a reward for his “fine work” in Melilla?
