El grupo de inmigrantes concentrados en la Plaza de España han decidido tras cuatro días de huelga de hambre abandonar la misma. Se ha tomado esta decisión tras las declaraciones del Delegado del Gobierno de que se están estudiando sus expedientes de forma individualizada.
Los inmigrantes quieren mediante este gesto normalizar todo lo posible la situación y facilitar el trabajo de la Delegación.
Desde que se inició la concentración, tras 24 días de huelga de hambre y una segunda huelga de hambre de 4 días, los inmigrantes no habían conseguido ni tan siquiera mantener una reunión con los responsables de inmigración para exponer sus justas peticiones.
Las declaraciones hechas públicas hoy por el Delegado del Gobierno han abierto una vía de esperanza y de trabajo que se debe materializar inmediatamente. Los inmigrantes concentrados deben participar en los procesos que les afectan tan directamente.

THE MIGRANTS END THEIR HUNGER STRIKE
The group of migrants assembled in the Plaza de España have decided to end their hunger strike after four days. They have taken the decision following statements by the Delegate of the Government that their files will be examined on an individual basis.
Through this gesture, the migrants hope to normalize the situation to the best possible extent, and to facilitate the Delegation’s work. Since the time the demonstration began, following 24 days on hunger strike and a further second hunger strike of 4 days, the migrants have not been able to meet with the immigration authorities to state their fair requests.
The statements announced today by the Delegate of the Government have opened an avenue of hope and of work, which should be made real without further delay. The demonstrating migrants should be able to participate in the processes that affect them so directly.
