MARRUECOS HACE UNA "LIMPIEZA INTESIVA" DEL INMIGRANTE SUBSAHARIANO DESPUÉS DE LAS PASADAS REDADAS EN LOS MONTES PRÓXIMOS A CEUTA Y MELILLA, LAS AUTORIDADES MARROQUÍES COMIENZAN DETENCIONES MASIVAS EN RABAT Y OTRAS CIUDADES. BARRIOS COMO EL DE AYNNADA HAN SUFRIDO LAS REDADAS ESTA MISMA TARDE, ENTRE LOS DETENIDOS SE ENCUENTRAN NUMEROSOS DEMANDANTES DE ASILO Y REFUGIADOS.UNO DE ELLOS ES UN CONOCIDO LÍDER COSTAMARFILEÑO, DEL COLECTIVO DE REFUGIADOS Y REFUGIADAS COSTAMARFILEÑO Y DEL QUE HAY QUE DESTACAR SU ENCONADA LUCHA POR LOS DERECHOS DE LAS PERSONAS REFUGIADAS Y MIGRANTES EN MARRUECOS. EN LA ÚLTIMA COMUNICACIÓN EFECTUADA CON ÉL, SE ENCONTRABA EN LA COMISARÍA DE AYNNADA EN EL TERCER DISTRITO Y NOS DECÍA QUE LA POLICÍA SE HABÍA MOFADO DE SU DOCUMENTACIÓN Y QUE ESTABAN PROCEDIENDO A REGISTRAR A TODOS LOS DETENIDOS PARA DESPOJARLES DE SU TELÉFONO MÓVIL. POR EL MOMENTO ACNUR MARRUECOS HA SIDO INFORMADA DE LA SITUACIÓN.

MOROCCO: A SUBSIDIZED DICTATORSHIP REPAYS THE E.U.
Communiqué received from Helena in Morocco:
Morocco is undertaking an “intensive cleaning” of Subsaharan immigrants; following the recent raids of the mountains close to Ceuta and Melilla, the Moroccan authorities have begun massive detentions in Rabat and other cities. Districts such as Aynnada have suffered raids this afternoon. Among those detained are many asylum seekers and refugees. One of these is a well-known leader of the collective of Ivorian refugees, whose outstanding efforts and tireless struggle for the rights of refugees and migrants in Morocco need to be recognized. In our most recent communication with him from the Aynnada (3rd district) police station, where he told us that the police had scoffed at his documentation, and were in the process of searching all those detained to confiscate their mobile phones. At present, ACNUR Morocco has been informed of the situation.
